When singer-songwriter April Aguilera faced an unexpected birth diagnosis with her daughter, Paloma, who has Down syndrome, it was a traumatic experience. A decade later, guilt-ridden about her reaction to her daughter’s birth, Aguilera channeled her pain and growth into a one-woman acoustic musical, “A Sea Full of Stars,” as a tribute to her daughter. The musical made its debut in New York City at the Emerging Artists Theatre in 2019.
